Our current manager is on maternity leave and we are seeking a proactive, organised and passionate team player to partner with the business and deliver on our current and future workforce needs. This role manages a small team and is responsible for facilitating the workforce planning activities of a growing, high performance workforce in a busy meat processing environment.  The role is based at our processing plant in Kilcoy.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support our internal customers to manage recruitment requests and ensure resourcing alignment with organisational goals, with a strong focus on relationship building
  • Design, develop, facilitate and continuously improve the end-to-end recruitment experience for a broad range of roles across production and support areas
  • Coach and support the workforce planning team, including overseeing the Working Holiday Visa recruitment program
  • Conduct regular talent database searches, and build and nurture proactive and passive talent pools
  • Facilitate and deliver the full range of workforce planning activities, including workforce needs analysis, job design, position description development, candidate sourcing,  phone screening, interviewing, group assessment days, reference checking and offer management
  • Track and report on key metrics to ensure workforce planning activities are delivered efficiently and effectively, and inform operational decision-making
  • Manage the e-recruitment system and its integration with other workforce management systems to ensure data integrity and compliant record keeping
  • Collaborate with the wider HR team to ensure seamless on-boarding and engaging employee experiences that retain new hires

Our ideal candidate?

  • Recruitment experience in a high performance growth organisation, supported by degree qualifications, preferably in HR or related discipline
  • High level interpersonal, communication, coaching, influencing, organisation, attention to detail and administrative skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of proactive sourcing strategies including Seek, LinkedIn Recruiter and other job boards.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems and make appropriate recommendations.
  • High volume manufacturing/processing industry experience an advantage, preferably with group assessment experience
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple projects to deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, HR systems, and applicant tracking system experience highly regarded.
  • Can-do attitude
