A newly created role, we are searching for an experienced Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement professional to oversee the development and delivery of our continuous improvement program across the business.  The position will be responsible for promoting a continuous improvement culture across our operations, aligned with the business strategy. The Continuous Improvement Manager will act as a change agent, working with various departmental groups to implement and sustain change in process.

Key Responsibilities      

  • Plan, direct and coordinate all continuous improvement activities across the site.
  • Oversee improvement projects utilising Kilcoy Global Food’s project framework and analysis of data to deliver successful business outcomes
  • Manage the workforce leaders and team members in successfully facilitating and delivering problem-solving tools such as DMAIC, 6D, 5WHY and Situational Problem-Solving
  • Implement and conduct daily operational reviews including visual measure management development
  • Reduce waste while engaging the workforce
  • Develop operator standard work and leader standard work
  • Remove excessive cost of operations through reducing D.O.W.N.T.I.M.E.
  • Champion a positive customer satisfaction culture
  • Assist in the facilitation of CI tools and methodologies to various stakeholders across the business.
  • Adhere/ comply with company policies and procedures
  • Proven ability in leading cross functional teams and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate a willingness to collaborate

What we’re looking for:

  • Project Management in CI strategy implementation experience essential
  • Proven ability in developing and implementing CI strategies
  • Hands-on, with highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills will be key as the role will liaise with all levels of the business
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a company leading transformational organisation change
  • Degree qualifications in supply chain or business
  • Customer focused
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, autonomous,
  • Experience in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Great organisational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills required.
  • Ability to plan, organise and control activities
  • Be accountable for own actions
