With an increasing presence in the Value-Added (Retail Ready Processing) sector, we are seeking an experienced hands-on, innovative problem solver to supervise and plan our Value-Added (Retail Ready) production. If you are someone who can think outside the box and apply logical and critical thinking to production processes, including the introduction of new product lines, then this may be the role for you.



The role offers an opportunity to play a significant part in the future of Retail Ready processing, a rapidly growing sector of our business.  We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic, hands-on supervisor who is ready to take the next step and lead a team of dedicated employees and contribute to the international success of the business.

The main responsibilities are :

  • To oversee and manage the production process in a designated production area
  • Line set-up including labour, machine output and yield optimisation
  • Ensuring exacting customer specifications are met in a timely manner
  • Drive a safety culture, whilst leading production staff to successfully achieve optimum yields, cost and productivity effectiveness
  • Provide daily leadership and guidance to your team with a focus on team communication
  • Identify training needs whilst upskilling and encouraging skills development
  • Look for ways in which incremental improvements can be adopted



  • 3 - 5 years production supervisory experience, preferably supported by previous hands-on floor level experience in, FMCG, smallgoods or meat processing
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Production planning and scheduling skills that deliver to sales order requirements
  • People focused, communication and development that will support a growing production team to deliver to expected outcomes within a changing environment
  • Hungry to deliver to expected outcomes within a changing environment
  • A mechanical minded approach, developed from experience in value add or retail ready related packaging and equipment operation, coordination and problem solving
  • Strong knowledge and leadership of OHS requirements, HACCAP and QA procedures
  • A solutions focus with consistent ability to follow through to support your team
  • Administrative experience in developing processes, data capture and analysis, report writing, as well as production costing and forecasting for new product lines
  • Project implementation experience delivering innovation and continual improvement outcomes for products, equipment and processes
  • Resource co-ordination skills that are flexible and efficient to deliver production requirements
  • An ability to develop and drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach to communication with all stakeholders
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • High motivation, enthusiasm and energy for your team
  • Attention to detail, initiative, time management and follow-through skills
