Kilcoy Global Foods is looking for a high calibre Financial Accounting Manager, based at our Corporate office in Birtinya on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. You will provide support to the General Manager Finance and Leadership team, whilst managing the financial service function and providing better analysis of data to the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide data driven insights to Executive, Managers and Functional Leaders to enable better informed decision making
• Ensure data is relevant, accurate, timely & presented to users in a way that enables all functional team members to make great decisions
• Continuous development of the financial services team
• Define the necessary financial processes to modernize and improve efficiency from transaction processing, end of month close processes, reporting and variance analysis. This includes project management oversight to sponsor financial accounting projects for modernization and automation
• Empower Financial Services Team members to enable them to develop to their full potential by ensuring training and development is kept up to date and in accordance with continuous professional education requirements of the Australian accounting bodies
• EOM reporting packs to the Australian CFO and GM Finance
• Accounting, Tax advice and recommendations
• Accounting standards interpretation and practical implication including modelling of financial outcomes
• Audit compliance to ensure there is no surprises from management accounts to statutory accounts
• EOM balance sheet reconciliations
• Working capital and cash management reporting
• Taxation law
• ERP system
• BI capability
• Report preparation and development
• Key KPI development linked to business performance

ABOUT YOU:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring the following experience and qualifications:

• 5 + years similar role
• Accounting degree
• CPA / CA qualified (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in large company or Big 4 / Mid Tier background
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Team development and coaching experience
• Proven ability to excel in complex environments
• Manufacturing / Processing experience preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong technical and professional knowledge
• Ability to identify problems, collect and analyse data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to understand business needs from both a financial and operational perspective
