HELP Centre Coordinator / Injury Management Coordinator

Kilcoy Global Foods is a high end protein Food Solutions expert that supplies both domestic and international markets. KGF has successfully expanded its operations and footprint in recent years and boasts operational interests in Australia, North America and China.

KGF has a rare opportunity to join our HR team, in the Employee wellbeing space. The HELP Centre Coordinator is the first point of contact and receptionist for the Human Resources Department and is the company’s primary first aide officer. Working in conjunction with the other members of the health and wellbeing team, this role is also the front-line coordinator of the company’s workplace rehabilitation programs.

This position provides a dynamic service involving administrative and health support for the effective and efficient operations of the teams and is the central contact for Production communications. KGF is a fast-paced, 24/7 beef production environment and this full time position will report directly to the Employee Rehabilitation Manager. This role will also include visiting the different departments, ie kill floor, boning room and load out on a regular basis to check in with our employees.

Roster:

  • Will be based on KGF's Green lifestyle roster, which includes weekend work (3 Saturdays per month)
  • 2 weeks of 4 days on + 4 days off and 2 weeks of 3 days on 3 days off - (5.00am - 5.00pm)

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Frontline provision and monitoring of suitable duties programs;
  • Managing and coordinating first-aid requirements and coordinating treatment programs;
  • Managing appropriate levels of first aid supplies;
  • Coordinating the Q-Fever program;
  • Providing general enquiry service to employee base.
  • Providing communications to the production departments concerning (but not limited to) manning requirements and replacements, health and treatment programs of employees; absentee reporting and employee wellbeing management;

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Ability to multi-task with effective time management skills, an ability to work autonomously, under pressure and to deadlines;
  • Demonstrated experience in frontline management of workplace injury/illness rehabilitation programs is highly desirable
  • Comfort with providing and managing First-Aid requirements, Qualifications or an interest in gaining First-Aid qualifications is a must.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills, across a range of authority levels
  • Experience in effective relationship building with people from a broad demographic  is highly desirable;
  • Sound administrative skills, inclusive of proven competence with the Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to quickly grasp other software programs;
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills;
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of work;
  • Understanding of the red meat processing industry or an interest in learning
  • Self-motivation and ability to demonstrate initiative, effective learning and contribute to team performance; and
  • A commitment to work health and safety.
