Meat Inspector (AAO)

Kilcoy Gloabl Foods is currently undergoing a global expansion and is transitioning to Kilcoy Global Foods (KGF).

KGF is a large beef processing plant and our production site is located in Kilcoy. Established 66 years ago, we are now one of the largest beef processors in Australia and currently employing over 1250 staff.  KGF is proud to acknowledge our employees are the key to our success.

KGF are seeking an experienced Australian Government Authorised Officer (AAO) to join our Quality Assurance Department. This is a salaried position and will be based on KGF's Green/Gold lifestyle roster, which includes weekend work.

 Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to);

  • Perform AAO duties in accordance with all legislative requirements
  • Ensure that all products are inspected to meet the AEMIS requirements and customers' specifications
  • Post Mortem verification
  • Implement and maintain the quality and food safety systems;
  • Drive compliance to meet all regulatory, customer and company requirements;

To be considered you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Certificate III and IV in Meat Processing/ or be eligible to enrol into a Cert 4 Training program.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing trained skills in performing AAO duties in Beef Production
  • Qualifications as an Internal Auditor (not essential)
  • An understanding of QA Principles and their implementation
  • Competent in knife skills fit for purpose of role
  • Experience working within a beef manufacturing environment;
  • Prior exposure to HACCP, AQIS or ISO Management Systems;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to act in a professional, ethical manner in performing AAO functions.
