THE OPPORTUNITY

Location: Kilcoy Global Foods | Coominya

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Technologist to join our Team at Kilcoy Global Foods Coominya and help bring new products to life. Reporting to Quality Systems & Compliance Manager, this role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled Food Technologist—preferably with experience in raw meat proteins to manage and oversee the entire NPD lifecycle, from initial concept through to commercialisation.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Manage in all tasks associated with new product development from concept to commercialisation
  • Plan, manage and assist in factory trials involving new product, new equipment and new process
  • Research, understand and sourcing of required ingredients
  • Plan, formulate and conduct benchtop trials
  • Design and conduct product evaluation and sensory analysis

 

ABOUT YOU

To be successful you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Food Sciences (or similar)
  • Demonstrated meat protein experience (raw and cooked) in a similar role
  • Ability to display excellent judgement, drive, initiative, and sense of urgency
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of R&D Experience in the food industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HACCP,FSANZ, food safety principles, food technology principles
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated internal and external stakeholder management (essential)
  • Commercial and technical awareness of ingredients, process, and customer requirements
