Your future in food starts here | Assistant Quality Assurance Manager

 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role will see you support the Operations team in developing, planning and implementing Quality Assurance programs to ensure the consistent delivery of quality products. 

Location | Lance Creek, Victoria

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure operations conform to food safety regulations and Quality Systems requirements though partnering with the production 
  • Document, control and report on the Non-Conformance and Corrective Action requirements within the parameters of the Quality Management System.
  • Coordinate Quality systems including internal audit, HACCP, Consumer Complaints, and document control.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in, aware of and comply with the necessary requirements of all Quality Management Systems.
  • Lead & coordinate relevant Document Control & auditing systems & activities in accordance with QA standards

 

ABOUT YOU

  • You will have excellent analytical, problem solving, organisational and communication skills
  • Have the ability to function autonomously, be proactive and adapt to constantly changing business demands
  • Ability to communicate effectively, building rapport with a wide range of stakeholders for productive business outcomes
  • Ability to recognise a critical matter and escalate to appropriate stakeholders where required.
  • Knowledge of legislative and operational requirements of Federal, State and Local Government Acts and requirements regarding Food Safety.

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant qualification in Quality and Food Industry Standards
  • Red meat industry experience preferred
  • 5+ years' experience within a food industry environment
  • Internal auditor qualifications
  • Qualifications in HACCP and Quality Management
  • Experience in AusMeat & Halal certification highly regarded
  • Leadership in Quality Systems Management
