Kilcoy Global Foods maintenance department is looking at appointing a skilled tradesperson who, together with the production team, will ensure sustained reliability and flexibility of all equipment related to the reliable performance of equipment within the business.


  • Night Shift Roster
  • Full time role
  • Lifestyle shift rosters 4/4, 5/5
  • Extra shifts and OT available
  • 5 weeks annual leave


This is a full-time, shift position, working on a lifestyle roster. 



  • Trade Qualifications – Certificate III in Engineering as a minimum
  • Maintenance Fitter or Fitter-Mechanic
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and great diagnostics for fault finding
  • Reliable, motivated self-starter
  • Can-do attitude, focusing on solutions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills and communication skills

    Experience with the maintenance of :

  • Beef slaughter process equipment +
  • Associated downstream offal and rendering plant and equipment
  • Downstream processing :
    • Boning, chilling, packaging, labelling and transfer systems
    • FMCG or manufacturing environment



  • Preventative and break down maintenance, with a strong focus on a preventative approach
  • Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures and maintenance
  • Engage with the production team to optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis
  • Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, health and environment
  • Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities
  • Prioritise urgent repairs of all typical VA and related equipment
  • Understand the importance of troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of the various sections of the factory
