Load Planning & Logistics Officer

Kilcoy Global Foods has an exciting opportunity for a committed individual to take on the full-time position of Load Planning & Logistics Officer.  We are looking for a vibrant, dynamic, organised and enthusiastic person to join a very busy team. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritising tasks and working unsupervised.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Services manager you will be required to work alongside our Logistics, Operations, Sales, QA and Production teams.

This is a full time role working from our Corporate Office in Birtinya, with a weekly visit to our meat processing facility in Kilcoy. The role may require weekend work depending on the needs of the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, communicate Daily Load Plan for Kilcoy Operations team
  • Work with external transport providers to achieve load plan
  • Report of DIFOT requirements daily
  • Seek cost savings through time and process improvements, work to maximise Full Truck Load (FTL)
  • Understand and follow Chain of Responsibility requirements
  • Communicate customer requirements to supply chain team
  • Collaborate with export and domestic supply chain team to achieve daily load plan.
  • Attend Kilcoy once per week



The ideal candidate will bring:

  • This is a multi-facing role that will require excellent organisational skills to be across the different functions of the business
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • Microsoft Excel skills to a minimum of an intermediate standard
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of people and develop trust and rapport with them
  • Solutions focused and consistent ability to follow through
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation to continually learn and deliver outcomes.
