Your future in food starts here | Raw Materials Planner 

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

Location: Bells Creek, Caloundra 

To coordinate supply of raw materials to Beef Solutions, whilst always emphasizing workplace health and safety, food/hygiene, safety, Department of Agriculture and other required legislative compliance necessary. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute raw material sourcing strategies to support site supply chain optimisation goals.
  • Drive material cost reductions, improve service levels, and minimise waste.
  • Align material forecasts with production plans and demand to reduce excess stock and prevent shortages.
  • Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure timely availability of raw and packaging materials.
  • Monitor and optimise inventory levels, including ageing stock management and ABC-XYZ analysis.
  • Build, maintain and develop strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability and on-time delivery.
  • Identify supply risks and implement contingency plans to protect production continuity.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and NPD teams to support cost-effective, quality purchasing decisions.
  • Work closely with Production Planning to ensure seamless alignment between material availability and production schedules.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives through responsible sourcing and waste reduction.
  • Support supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Operations, Logistics, QA, Commercial and Sales teams.

 


ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience in supply chain, materials planning, procurement or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP systems and inventory optimisation principles.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance cost, service, quality and risk.
  • Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to interpret forecasts and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Skilled in supplier relationship management and negotiation.
  • Proactive problem solver with strong risk identification and mitigation capability.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
