ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Warehouse Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our warehouse while leading a small team to achieve safety, quality and productivity targets. In this role, you will play a key part in fostering a positive team culture, ensuring safe work practices, and supporting operational efficiency. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong warehouse experience who enjoys leading by example and developing their team to perform at their best.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and coordinate daily Cold Chain / Warehouse operations to ensure efficient throughput, productivity and service levels.
  • Ensure clear and professional communication between the Cold Chain/Warehouse function and other departments across the site.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives, including cross-training and development of team capability.
  • Implement and maintain stock control, waste management and DIFOT strategies to optimise operational performance.
  • Build strong working relationships with Production, Maintenance/Engineering and Warehouse leadership teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiencies.
  • Drive operational improvements and implement change initiatives aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to support Cold Chain throughput and output targets.
  • Lead stock control procedures including monitoring, reviewing, stock rotation and corrective actions.
  • Analyse operational data and performance metrics to support budget targets and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Make informed operational decisions using a risk management approach, including when to halt activities if required.
  • Support the training, coaching and development of new and existing team members.
  • Ensure operational reporting is accurate and timely, including data related to labour utilisation, productivity, materials usage and payroll.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience in warehouse leadership or management (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • A results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience coaching and developing team members.
  • Knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices.
  • COR training or similar industry certifications.
  • Food manufacturing or FMCG experience (highly regarded).
