Finance Business Partner - Operations

Kilcoy Global Foods is looking for a high calibre Financial Business Partner, based at our Kilcoy site, to join the Plant Operations Leadership Team and effectively manage business operations by ensuring timely and accurate reporting and analysis, the generation of insights to shape operational and strategic decision and effective financial stewardship.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure an efficient and professional information flow between Finance, Operations and the broader business.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships within the Finance and Operations teams, as well as, across the broader organisation.
  • Lead and contribute to the delivery of business and financial objectives through proactive involvement in the day to day operations.
  • Develop the commercial and financial acumen of Operations teams
  • Guide and direct business activities to ensure business systems that contain critical data for the organisation are utilised effectively.
  • Manage and lead the development of two direct reports
  • Partner across the wider Finance and Business Analytics team to standardise and document reporting and analytics practices and to develop improved business reporting and intelligence tools/models
  • Develop, enhance and maintain operational reporting and analytic tools ensuring sound decision making
  • Partner with Operations teams to drive the identification, execution and tracking of margin improvement initiatives
  • Support and provide detailed input into the monthly forecasting & annual budgeting processes for the Operations teams including clear Analysis of Change (AOC)
  • Partner with Finance and Operations teams in the preparation of business cases and proposals for management approval (eg: Capex evaluations), including the provision of relevant cost information.
  • Support in the execution of approved business cases ensuring strict financial control, delivery of project milestones with optimal utilisation of project resources
  • Review and maintain relevant financial and production systems ensuring appropriate controls are in place to maintain data integrity
  • Perform monthly cost centre reviews
  • Support Operations and Finance teams in the production of adhoc analysis and reporting as required



To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring the following experience and qualifications:

  • Post-Graduate Qualifications in Accounting/Commerce (e.g. CPA/CA qualified)
  • 5+ years experience in a Supply Chain/Plant Finance Manager role preferably within the agricultural or FMCG sectors
  • Expert management accounting, financial analysis and reporting experience
  • Proficient with ERP Accounting Systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability of managing change within an organisation
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and drive continuous improvement
  • Senior stakeholder management experience highly desirable
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively where necessary
