THE ROLE:

Kilcoy Global Foods is looking for an experienced, physiotherapist/ chiropractor with demonstrated musculoskeletal skills and an interest in developing their skillset in the formal management of injury in the workplace setting. This is a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic accredited individual with a passion for your chosen profession to join a large beef processing plant promoting employee well-being and support at all levels. You will apply your musculoskeletal and soft-tissue knowledge to treat, prevent and rehabilitate a diverse range of injuries.

This role is for anyone interested in developing their skills in the area of Occupational Health and Wellness, workers compensation collaboration, and clinical networking to support onsite injury and rehabilitative management. You will join an experienced team that currently include an experienced treatment provider, and injury management specialists who will support you on your journey. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Early intervention and hands-on treatment of workplace injuries to prevent progression to chronic complaints 
  • Work with the team to help develop Injury Prevention Programs / initiatives / strategies 
  • Provide treatment support with a focus on rehabilitation at work 
  • Workplace Assessments and Physical Demands Analysis 
  • Education and training for employees and supervisors 
  • Fostering relationships and engaging with workplace teams 
  • Pre-employment screenings 
  • Manual handling training 


ABOUT YOU:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring the following experience and qualifications:

  • Allied health degree, preferably in Physiotherapy or Chiropractic. 
  • A current practicing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency 
  • Experience treating patients in an on-site manufacturing environment is desirable but, not compulsory 
  • Proven ability to collaborate and develop relationships across a diverse range of personnel 
  • Demonstrated experience in building patient trust and relationships quickly 
  • Solutions focus with demonstrated outcomes achieved through credible relationships with other medical practitioners 
  • An interest in Occupational Health and Wellness
