THE ROLE:

This is an opportunity for a self-starter to forge relationships in a tightly knit and agile team to deliver solutions our current and developing customer base require.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively escalate obstacles to achievement of daily production plan to Senior Managers in Sales, Logistics and Production
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of product specifications, critical logistical factors and the sales process to guide decision making in production planning and materials planning activities
  • Facilitate the efficient delivery of the production plan, whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Remain up to date with current legislation
  • Adhere to efficient and reliable documentation and record keeping for areas of functional responsibility in line with organisational policies and procedures and legal requirements
  • Manage raw and finished goods inventory levels to ensure stock rotation and minimise product wastage
  • Assess, plan and order packaging materials (roll stock, cryovac bags, cardboard and other consumables)
  • Critically analyse production outputs against the plan daily to provide input into production planning decisions to meet customers needs
  • Contribute to the design and development of systems/technology

ABOUT YOU:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a planning and replenishment role in perishables, preferably meat
  • Ability to make plans with incomplete information and presenting these to the business unit team to endorse and for you to implement with your colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to create capacity planning models to project inventory, capacity and raw material requirements into the future
  • Production Planning & Material requirements planning experience
  • Understanding of major supermarket replenishment models/TPRP
  • Demonstrated experience strategically influencing internal and external stakeholders to enable delivery of outcomes
  • Understanding of the pick-to-zero process and just-in-time manufacturing and staging for despatch
  • Inventory control experience - managing MLOR dates for inventory batches against customer requirements
  • Intermediate MS Excel and Office suite

Highly desirable:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Supervisor and Innova
  • Demand Planning experience
  • Purchasing officer experience
