Kilcoy Global Foods is looking for an experienced Salesperson to join our Sales and Marketing division at our Corporate office in Birtinya on the beautiful Sunshine Coast with intermittent travel to our site at Kilcoy. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the beef industry whilst developing and building on existing business relationships to implement and manage an effective and valuable Co products sales plan to position the organisation as a preferred supplier in the industry.


  • Working with Operations to ensure production planning and scheduling is meeting Sales activities and identifying new sales channels for margining improvement and maximising profit
  • Anticipating organisational, industry and economic challenges with the Senior Sales Team and addressing solutions based on market activities and a risk management approach should they arise
  • Supporting the Sales manager by facilitating the implementation of the Co products strategy
  • Identifying and creating business opportunities to sell our Co products and be involved in new product development at the plant
  • Develop effective customer engagement strategies and supply agreements with customers locally and internationally
  • Business development and networking within the industry to promote products and capitalise on sales opportunities
  • Guiding daily activities in collaboration with finance by analysing Co products P&L information and mitigating potential issues before they arise
  • Collating and analysing organisational data and consistently monitoring and reviewing Co products sales activities to meet agreed targets and business ownership profit expectations
  • Proactively responding to potential and real barries to meeting targets and KPIs
  • Keeping up to date with flexible pricing structures to deliver maximum profit on all sales
  • Adhoc project work as required


To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring the following experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role approx. 3 + years
  • Demonstrated ability to manage trial based and capital backed projects
  • Relevant and current knowledge of the meat industry
  • Ability to work closely with the operations team
  • Active listening and negotiation skills with focus on quality and timely decision making and follow up
  • Discipline and motivation to work autonomously with support of the wider Sales Team
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with a positive attitude towards our customers
