Kilcoy Global Foods is looking for a qualified Corporate Accounting Manager to manage and deliver the Corporate Accounting functions for the Australian business. The role sits within the professional finance team and will help coach and develop the existing team and maintain the financial health of the consolidated group for the Australian Operations, as well as providing support to the Financial Controller.

The role is based at our Corporate office in Birtinya on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compliance with statutory deadlines
  • Maintaining clean audit reports
  • Proactive accounting policy development and application to the business
  • Strengthening control framework
  • Developing robust and up to date internal controls framework in readiness for IPO
  • Implementing an early warning system for upcoming business issues from an audit, tax, and compliance point of view
  • On time month end calendar deliverables
  • Cost effective insurance program renewals
  • Governance of the finance manual
  • Good team player

ABOUT YOU:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring the following experience and qualifications:

  • 5 + years similar role
  • Accounting degree
  • CPA/CA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Large company or Big 4/Mid-Tier background
  • Demonstrated leadership skills within a Finance Department
  • Team development and coaching experience
  • Manufacturing/Processing experience preferred
  • Experience working within a complex environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical and professional knowledge
  • Ability to identify problems, collect and analyse data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Understand the business from both a financial and operational perspective
